Do you only give loans for real estate in California?
Yes. Sellens Real Estate Lending is licensed by the Department of Real Estate to do Mortgage Loans and Real Estate Sales in the State of California. DRE Broker License: 00673791.
You do not have to be a resident of California, but the property used as collateral for the loan must be in California.
UPDATE: We now offer loans to all fifty states in the United States.
Is it safe to give you personal information via your online form?
Yes. The online form on this website is on a secure server.
Notice the https in front of the web address which means it is secure.
Notice the little yellow lock icon in the lower right corner of the browser which also means it is secure.
The information is stored in a password protected database where only Judy Sellens can login to retrieve the data.
Is it safe to give you personal information via email?
No. Even if you filled out an online form on a secure web server,
if that form sends the data to an email account, the data is no longer secure.
That is why we store the data in a database and do NOT send the data via email.
If you need to make changes, call us.
How can I get a copy of my credit report?
You can go to FreeCreditReport.com or go to one of the top three credit bureaus in the United States for your credit report.
Is there any cost to apply?
No. Sellens Real Estate Lending does not require an up-front fee to submit an application and begin the loan process.
Can I change my application after I've submitted it?
Yes. Changes can be made at any time until you lock your interest rate. However, be aware that any changes may delay the closing date or affect your loan costs.
How quickly can I close my loan?
The time needed to close your loan depends on a variety of factors, including the time needed to obtain required documentation and when you can sign your loan documents.
Can I use foreign currency to pay a mortgage on a U.S. property?
No. At this time U.S. lenders do not accept foreign currency as payment for your mortgage (on a U.S. property). If you only have foreign currency and need to use it to make a mortgage payment (on a U.S. property), go to your local bank and convert your foreign currency to U.S. dollars to pay your mortgage.
